Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Jean-Marc Eber is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of LexiFi. He is a regular speaker at financial engineering conferences and has published numerous papers on financial risk management and on the application of programming language theory to financial trading and risk management. Prior to founding LexiFi in 2000, Mr. Eber was Global Head of Quantitative Research in the Capital Markets Division of Société Générale.

Jean-Marc Eber is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of LexiFi. He is a regular speaker at financial engineering conferences and has published numerous papers on financial risk management and on the application of programming language theory to financial trading and risk management. Prior to founding LexiFi in 2000, Mr. Eber was Global Head of Quantitative Research in the Capital Markets Division of Société Générale.

In this position, he was responsible for the design and implementation of software tools and mathematical models for trading complex derivative products. Mr. Eber holds an M.S. in econometrics, an M.S. in mathematics from the University of Strasbourg and a Ph.D. in mathematical economics from the University of Bonn, where he was an assistant professor.

Before being appointed Chief Technical Officer, Alain Frisch was a senior software engineer at LexiFi. Prior to joining the Company in 2007, Mr. Frisch was a research associate at INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control, where he worked on the development of OCaml, a programming language that LexiFi adopted to develop its product.

Before being appointed Chief Technical Officer, Alain Frisch was a senior software engineer at LexiFi. Prior to joining the Company in 2007, Mr. Frisch was a research associate at INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control, where he worked on the development of OCaml, a programming language that LexiFi adopted to develop its product.

Alain Frisch graduated from Ecole normale supérieure in Paris, was accepted at the 'Agrégation de mathématiques', a competitive examination in mathematics held in France, and completed a post-graduate engineering curriculum at Telecom ParisTech. Mr. Frisch is a member of the 'Corps des Mines' in France and holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Ecole normale supérieure.

Vivien Bégot joined LexiFi in 2010 and worked in the quantitative team for three years before being appointed Head of Quantitative Analytics. He joined LexiFi immediately after his final year internship at CA-CIB, in the Interest Rate Derivative Risk Management team.

Vivien Begot holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from ENSIMAG, and a Master Degree in Mathematical Finance from Université Joseph-Fourier.

Frédéric des Closières joined LexiFi in 2010. He was previously employed at Société Générale Asset Management Alternative Investment (SGAM-AI) in the Hedge Funds division. He started off in the structuring team in Paris and then joined the sales team in Hong Kong.

One team

LexiFi teams work together in a collaborative and cohesive atmosphere. We share knowledge through regular workshops and presentations, namely weekly tech-talks during which LexiFi’s employees showcase the latest development and innovations they are working on.

Our Sales and Marketing team works closely with both the support and technical teams to echo client wishes. The support team holds regular meeting with its technical colleagues to drive developments in the users' direction. The technical team in turn, is on a constant quest of speed and accuracy. LexiFi quants and devs always share their research findings and pedagogically transfer knowledge to all LexiFi employees.

The Human Resources and Administration department always brings creative solutions to maintain this collaborative atmosphere and enhance the comfort level of LexiFi employees.
