Event notifications and alerts.

Monitoring product and portfolio events involve notifying different parties ranging from business partners to colleagues and clients.

LexiFi Apropos solution comes with many default alerts and notifications. Users can also set custom threshold alerts, and notification workflows. An alert can be customized to meet specific business requirements: it can be set on a product level, a portfolio level, or underlying level.

The integrated nature of LexiFi Apropos makes it possible to receive alerts on any information in the database, or any quantitative metric calculated on the fly.

LexiFi Apropos users usually put in place processes to notify business partners in various contexts by automatically generating emails with relevant attachments. Examples include:

  • Lifecycle event notifications (happening, upcoming, likely)

  • Price variation on a specific product or underlying

  • Generic broadcast tool based on contract parameters or underlying levels to notify colleagues

  • Product validation status workflow

  • P&L variations

  • Risk metric warnings

  • End-of-day internal portfolio snapshot

Notifications can be fully or partially automated in LexiFi Apropos depending on user preferences. Full automation involves a scripting job (triggered manually or automatically from the server) in LexiFi Apropos which sends email notifications with up-to-date documents generated on the fly when applicable. Alternatively, users may opt for a semi-automated process with the option to review and edit email notifications before sending them.

“Event lifecycle notifications” are a typical example of notification workflows in LexiFi Apropos. Such notifications usually require sharing reports and documents, and could be time-consuming and error-prone. LexiFi Apropos measures the proximity of events and generates alerts about the occurrence but also the probability of Lifecycle events. These include coupons, early redemption, barrier events, and corporate actions. Users then easily notify investors of these events through automated emails with relevant attachments. Notifications can also be triggered through interactive dashboards and reports.
